Strawberry Summer Bunting Mini-Make

You will need
- Scraps of assorted green and red fabrics
- Toy stuffing
- Ribbon
- Embroidery thread and needle
If you want to hand sew you can use felt and stitch pips with French knots in green embroidery thread.

Step 1
Cut your fabric using the templates provided. Fold the strawberry shapes in half, right side to right side and sew down the open edge side (1/4” seam allowance) and cutting across the bottom.
Step 2
Turn through and using a double thread and big knot at the end, do a running stitch around the top, turning under a small hem as you go.
Step 3
Stuff the strawberry firmly and pull up the stitches to gather in and stitch closed firmly.
Step 4
Now make your yoyo (Suffolk puff) by again with a big knot and double thread do a running stitch around the circle ,turning under a small hem as you go.
Step 5
Pull up the threads and twiddle until you get the gathers sitting centrally before stitching down to hold them in place.
Step 6
Now stitch to the top of the strawberry with a couple of stitches hidden in the folds and create a loop to attach to the bunting either from the thread or add one from ribbon.
Step 7
Well done your bunting is complete! Time to find somewhere to hang it.
