Sewing Machine Partner:
Aimed at the more ‘experienced’ quilter; subjects include layered surfaces, eco-printing, pattern drafting, improvisational Longarm quilting, textile art using Tyvek.
Fantastic for those wanting more intensive learning, these workshops are held in quiet air-conditioned spaces off the main show floor.
General Admission or VIP entrance tickets must be purchased in order to attend your Academy class if you wish to also enter the exhibition. NB: One day classes include an entrance ticket on Show Days.

For the first time in 2024, we’re offering a series of Deluxe Academy Workshops which include a buffet lunch and a cup of tea or coffee in the morning and/or in the afternoon.
Most dietary requirements will be catered for (eg gluten free, vegetarian and vegan) but if you have specific requirements or allergies please let us know by 19th July)
Please note that during the show, Deluxe Academy workshops take place in the Gallery Suites upstairs where refreshments will also be served, so participants will have easy access to lunch and drinks in a quiet dedicated learning space. NB: Preshow classes are ALL Deluxe classes in both Concourse Suite rooms and Gallery Rooms – refreshments will be served upstairs.
Discounts apply for members of the Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles and VIP ticket holders.
Please be aware that most Academy workshops have a supply list (a link to the Supply lists will be sent with the ticket), or a fee for materials payable to the tutor at the start of the class. Please read the Class description ‘more information’ before booking.
