New Horizons Textile Group has been established as an exhibiting group for 25 years in 2018. The membership is a diverse mix of quilters, embroiderers and stitched textile artists drawn together by a common interest in showing their work to wider audiences Their work is thoughtful, engaging, visually stimulating and technically of a very high standard. There are currently fifteen members in the group.

We are presenting an exhibition of new work entitled Connections. The aim of the exhibition is to engage the viewer with a body of work where members, each producing three pieces of work, interpret the title in their own way, style and techniques.

Members use a wide variety of textile techniques in their work such as dye, paint, stencils and screen print to texture cloth plus piecing, digital imagery, digitized machine embroidery, free machine embroidery, applique, hand embroidery, hand quilting and free machine quilting to convey their designs, ideas, concepts and skills to their audience.
