This exhibition showcases a collection of quilts selected by all European Quilt Association (EQA) member countries. The quilts on show offer an insight into the continent’s rich diversity and uniqueness within quilting, with each country selecting and presenting just one art quilt that represents excellence of idea and execution.
Art quilts conveying an abundance of creative imagination and innovation will be shown next to quilts which reflect a deep thematic connection with ancient, national traditions that continue within individual European countries.
The diversity of the continent is reflected through the range of quilts on show. This exhibition offers an opportunity to see some of the outstanding work of quilt artists from 18 different countries.
