The CQ@20 gallery celebrates the 20th anniversary of Contemporary Quilt, a special interest group of the Quilters’ Guild, whose mission is to push the boundaries of quilting and textile art. Members are excited by new materials, techniques and ideas, and their work is innovative and dynamic.
This exhibition presents a selection of beautiful quilts, many double-sided, on the theme ‘Uncharted’, as well as monthly journal quilts from 2021, each set of 12 joined into a coherent piece. These are joined by quilts from the ‘On the Road’ travelling collection, designed to prompt discussion about the varied themes and techniques used by contemporary quilters.
