‘Sew Grateful for 2021’ is a quilt that was designed by Rose Parr of healthyquilting.com in 2020, at the height of the pandemic.
Most of the blocks were designed or inspired by ‘Tipsters’ – the people who had contributed to Rose’s book Sew Healthy & Happy, Smart Ergonomics, Stretches & more for Makers. The quilt represented things we were grateful for such as our homes, inner strength, pets, loved ones, essential workers, and also what we missed and were looking forward to in 2021 like hugs, kisses, flying, and welcoming others back into our homes. Rose’s book was released in March of 2021 along with a sew-along which produced more than 50 versions, many of which can be seen at healthyquilting.com.
Four of the quilts based on this design and made by Rose will be on display at The Festival of Quilts, along with two additional quilts made by Canadian quilter and Tipster Melissa Marginet and Rose’s son Maxwell Parr.
