We want to start by saying a huge thank you...

Thank you to everyone who has booked a ticket to this year’s Festival of Quilts, and for your continued faith in this year’s event.

We’ve been eagerly awaiting yesterday’s announcement from the Prime Minister.

It was announced yesterday that the ease of lockdown has been delayed by 4 weeks. The new date for moving into Stage Four on the roadmap is now Monday 19th July.

While this is frustrating for everyone, it does not effect our ability to run the show at the end of July and we remain confident and focussed on delivering this year’s Festival of Quilts as scheduled:

We are set to return as planned to the NEC in Birmingham from 29th July – 1st August 2021, for what is set to be a fantastic celebration of patchwork and quilting.

This year may feel different to previous years, but the show’s ‘raison d’être’ is stronger than ever. Since our launch in 2003, we have been dedicated to sharing our common passion for patchwork and quilting and bringing the community together. This is more important now than ever, and we are SO grateful for your continued support.

Keeping you safe

We understand that visiting a large event after a year in lockdown may seem daunting but please be assured, safety is our number one priority. We’ve got more hall space than ever and are doing everything in our power to ensure the event is spacious and distanced, with Government guidelines being strictly adhered to. Recent pilot events have gone extremely well and will continue to run over the next four weeks, learnings from which will be applied to Festival of Quilts. We are also now envisaging that proof of vaccination or a negative test result will be in place, providing even greater confidence in our ability to run safely. Read more about our safety measures here.
