Great British Quilter ‘Hope’ Mini Quilt Challenge

Great British Quilter 'Hope' Mini Quilt Challenge

Hope is being able to see that there is light, despite all the darkness.” Desmond Tutu

The Hope Mini Quilt Challenge gave quilters the opportunity to create a small mini quilt, representing the theme of hope in any way they chose. 50 mini quilts will be shortlisted and displayed at The Festival of Quilts 2021 with one quilt selected as the ultimate winner.

The global pandemic has been a challenge for us all and yet hope is the one thing that we cling onto as we look to a brighter future. With minimal constraints, the challenge provides the opportunity to unleash quilters’ creativity and to experiment with new techniques, colours and skills.

The judges of the challenge include Sarah Ashford, Jo Avery, Karen Lewis, Lynne Goldsworthy, Leisa Morris and Chris English. Prizes have kindly been donated by British fabric companies, event organisers and retailers.

10% of the submission fee will be donated to NHS Charities Together.
