Dyes & Stuff
Dyes & Stuff
Different fabrics require different dyes but whether you need Procion Dyes for cotton, Acid Dye for silk or a dye for synthetics we have it for you as well as all the extras like fixers and thickeners. The dyes are available in wide ranges of colours and in various sizes from 19gm pots to large jars as well as starter sets and kits. For example, tie-dye is a current buzz-word – try it for yourself with Jacquard’s Tie-Dye Kit; make you own Indigo Dye Vat with everything you need in a starter pack; and print today’s beautiful synthetic fabrics with a Disperse Dye Kit. Recipes, instructions and help available.
All of this can be found in the Fabric Colouring and Auxiliaries category on the website.
Papers & Sketchbooks
Papers & Sketchbooks
We love paper! From quality cartridge paper through to beautiful hand-made cotton rag paper we have a huge range. Most of the art papers – watercolour, sketching, printmaking, acrylic etc – are all available as individual sheets and we also keep lots of sketchbooks & pads. The sketchbooks come in many different sizes & formats eg soft-back, hard-back; stitch-bound, wire-bound; landscape, portrait – to suit different requirements. We have exotic papers from Asia made from more unusual plant fibres such as lokta, mitsumata and mulberry, as well as paper-making supplies (pulp and paper-making mould & deckles) so you can make your own paper from recycled and natural materials.
All of this can be found in the Paper, Pads & Sketchbooks category and in the Marbling and Paper-making category of the website.
