"The Goldcrest lampshade was inspired by the beautiful colours of this lovely bird that I've seen flitting in and out of the hedgerows. It's the UK's smallest bird and so I wanted to create a design to celebrate those hidden details of our British countryside."
Jo created the original, handmade Goldcrest design from her studio in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside. It was created using free motion embroidery, an exciting technique where she uses the sewing machine to 'draw' the details of the wildlife onto the fabric.
This lampshade is an excellent reproduction of the original embroidery, and produces a gorgeous, warm glow for any room in the house.
