Disabled Visitors

Disabled Visitors

The NEC aims to be fully accessible and user-friendly for disabled visitors. This is a quick guide to some of their facilities – if you would like to know more, please contact the NEC directly by emailing info@necgroup.co.uk.

Drop Off/Pick Up & Parking Facilities

Please note, you should bring your Blue Badge with you, even if you are arriving by taxi.

Please display your Blue Badge clearly in your vehicle. You will be directed to the nearest disabled car park – where you can be dropped off and picked up at the end of your visit. Please note there is £16 charge for parking (£12 if you book parking in advance) – please see our travel page for more parking details.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome.

Hearing Impairments

Induction loop audio systems are fitted in various locations.

Disabled Facilities

There are a number of accessible toilets available across the venue.

Wheelchair and Mobility Hire

Wheelchairs – available free of charge for blue badge holders and £5 for all other visitors. The number of wheelchairs we have available is limited, so if you’ve got your own, please bring it with you.

Scooters – £15 per day for all visitors.

We strongly advise visitors to pre-book equipment to avoid disappointment. We operate a telephone booking line Monday to Friday 0900hrs-1600hrs on 0121 780 4141 (Option 2 and then Option 7), or alternatively you can email at InfoEmailAccount@necgroup.co.uk

For any visitors who have not pre-booked equipment and arrive on the day, any remaining stock will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. As collection location varies from show to show, please check the collection point when making a booking.
Please note: Mobility equipment hire is only available during show open times.

Disabled visitors are able to purchase tickets using the concession price. Carers attending with disabled visitors are entitled to free entry to the Show.
To request a carer ticket, please email our ticket provider at festivalofquilts@seetickets.com

Carers accompanying a VIP ticket holder will be allowed access to the VIP lounge but are not entitled to any additional benefits associated with the VIP package.

Festival of Quilts COVID-19 Update

At present we very much hope that Festival of Quilts will go ahead as planned, however we are closely monitoring the situation and continue to follow and adhere to UK Government and Public Health England advice.

Tickets for The Festival of Quilts 2020 (including tickets for workshops and social events) will now be going on sale in April with the usual priority booking for members of the Quilters Guild.

We will ensure to keep you updated on this evolving situation (including the new date tickets will be on sale); please sign up to our newsletter to receive all important notifications on our ticket launch and show programme.

Please be assured that during this period of uncertainty, we will continue to offer full refunds to visitors should the event not go ahead.

Thank you for bearing with us during this incredibly difficult time.
