During the class, you will receive step-by-step guidance and practical tips on how to start and finish your piece, starting with a practice piece, before creating a small landscape picture.
What you will learn:
Create a small landscape using a basic domestic sewing machine. You will learn:
- How to set up your machine for freehand stitching.
- How to ‘draw’ with your thread
- How to apply pieces of fabric to enhance your design.
Your designs can be framed as small pictures or mounted as greetings cards. By practising stitching patterns and textures you can continue to create a wide range of designs, incorporating layered fabrics. Enjoy the freedom of ‘drawing’ with thread.
