Somerset Patchwork is an Australian company, specialising in antique and reproduction-style fabrics and quilt patterns.
Our patterns are all designed by Karen Styles under our “Somerset Designs” label and are sold world-wide. Karen also designs reproduction fabrics, previously for Marcus Fabrics in the USA and currently for Devonstone Collection fabrics here in Australia, as well as being a published author. In addition to designing, Karen also teaches technique and project workshops here in Australia as well as in the UK, Europe and the USA.

Acrylic Template Sets
Somerset Patchwork has a selection of acrylic templates created as optional companion sets to some of our "Somerset Designs" patterns, as well as some generic template sets (such as hexagons, hearts, circles and squares). These templates help to ensure consistency and accuracy in your fabric cutting and piecing.
Patchwork Books
Karen Styles is the author of "Seams Like Yesterday" - a selection of 15 traditional quilt patterns presented in one volume by Quiltmania. Her 2018 Mystery Quilt design "Bathwick" is also available in booklet form.
Reproduction Patchwork Fabric
Our fabrics reflect the designs and colours fashionable during the 1800's and are ideally suited to creating antique and traditional quilts. Their designs are influenced by British, European and American fabrics of the period.
Traditional Quilt Patterns
Our patterns are all designed by Karen Styles under our "Somerset Designs" label and are sold world-wide. Many of Karen's creations are original, although her Mrs Billings' Coverlet pattern is a licensed reproduction of an original quilt in the collection of the QGBI.
